1990P-1DER-008T is TrailDies' file 008 for 1990 Philadelphia cent reverses with trails: 1990P is the date and mint, 1 denotes a cent, DER says the design extension is on the reverse, and T names the trail type. Lines leave the upper left corners of the letters on the left side of E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the first S and first T of STATES carry them too. They run at 310°, northwest, up and to the left. TrailDies gives the reverse as late die state, with a die dot at the upper left of column 1 and a cluster of small gouges high in bay 2; it lists no obverse markers. Specialists usually credit trails to the die being polished with a rotary buff; some argue the die moved against the hub instead.
