Description
1987P-1DER-015T: a 1987 cent from Philadelphia (1987P, with 1 as the denomination), DER as TrailDies' reverse design extension tag, file 015 and T for trails. Here the lines rise from the tops of the motto's letters and from the center of the cornice above the columns, pointing to 010°, a touch east of north. TrailDies gives the reverse as late die state, with a small gouge just right of the twelfth column and another near the rim between the N and E of ONE. No obverse markers are given. Aisha Shahid found it. Rotary polishing of the die is generally blamed for trails, although some specialists hold that the die moved against the hub.
