Description

Heavy to moderate step deviation is seen under columns 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 with strong fluting line extension into the stylobate under columns 10, 11 and 12. The offset direction is 170 degrees. The coins condition is detrimental in determining the exact extent of the deviation and fluting line extension. Hopefully, a better example will be found. DIE MARKERS : Stage “C” obverse is LDS – heavy, horizontal die scratching is seen around Lincoln’s bust. Reverse is LDS – Heavy, horizontal die scratching is seen through the EPU and over ONE CENT.
