Error
Description
Light lines spring from the top left of the D in GOD and of each TRUST letter on 1987P-1DEO-005T. The entry's text gives the offset as 330°, north-northwest, up and to the left. As with other TrailDies codes, the parts run from date and mint (1987P) to denomination (1, a cent), side (DEO, obverse design extension), file (005) and type (T, trails). Its dies were in a late state (stage C). Light scratches lie just past the Y of LIBERTY on its right. The reverse is heavily and randomly scratched, and small pieces of the die have chipped out in the E and N of CENT. No finder is named. Trails are commonly attributed to polishing the die with a rotary buff; a minority view attributes them to the die moving against the hub.

- Reverse is LDS – Random, heavy die scratching on the reverse. Die chips in the E and N of cent.
