Description

D/D South Die Markers: Obverse: Gouge directly south of I in IN. Gouge north of B in LIBERTY. Large gouge directly behind Lincoln’s neck. Gouges on 9 and inside of the opening of the 4 in the date. Reverse: Gouge above left cornice, level with the first S in STATES. Die gouges below and right of the upper second A in AMERICA. Die gouge touching upper right side of N in ONE. Die gouge on the inside lower curve of the O in ONE. Die cracks on upper column 1 and 2.
