1984 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-006

Description

1984-D WRPM-006 is a repunched mint mark on the 1984-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D North, meaning the secondary D lies north of the primary one. On the obverse, there is a gouge in the vest SW of the mint mark, and gouges on and around the earlobe. More gouges lie in the field below TRUST's second T, and one sits near the hair beneath GOD's O. On the reverse, a die crack shows on column 9, and a gouge marks the lower left of AMERICA's first A. Under the second A in AMERICA, halfway to column 12, there is another gouge, and gouges lie left of the T in CENT. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
