1984 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-004

Description

Carrying cross-references to three independent systems — CONECA RPM #2, Coppercoins 1984D-1MM-008, and Wexler 1984-D 1¢ WRPM-004 — this repunched mint mark variety of the 1984 Denver Mint Lincoln Memorial cent benefits from unusually broad attribution consensus. When three expert systems independently catalog the same die variety, the convergence provides collectors with high confidence in both the variety's existence and its classification. CONECA's RPM #2 places this variety second in their 1984-D Lincoln cent repunched mint mark sequence, while Coppercoins 1984D-1MM-008 indicates a different sequential position in their broader mint mark catalog. These numbering differences are expected — each catalog uses its own discovery order — and the cross-references unify the records so that any one designation leads to the corresponding entries in the other systems. For die variety specialists, multi-system cross-referenced varieties like WRPM-004 anchor a collection with pieces whose attributions are beyond reasonable dispute.
