Description
Class II doubling toward the rim, also shoes MDDR. Doubling is seen on top bars of DO of DOLLAR, lower right serif of LL, middle bar of AR, and on leg of R. The A of DOLLAR also shows both lower serifs splitting.Die Markers: Obverse: Obverse is WDDO-010. Type 1 S mintmark with heavy CW tilt. Working dies with the exact same doubling are known to exist for the years 1974, 1977, and 1978. Differences in the appearance of the doubling will result from master hub wear, master die wear, working hub wear, working die wear, as well as coin wear.
