Description
1972-D WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1972-D Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. A Class I counterclockwise (CCW) spread appears on LIBERTY, the date, IN GOD WE TRUST (IGWT), the upper hair details, the neck's front and the profile under the nose. On the obverse, a short vertical scratch lies left of LIBERTY's R, and a diagonal scratch sits below the N of IN. Wexler notes no reverse markers. John Jencek submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
