Description
1971-S WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1971-S proof Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. A strong Class V counterclockwise (CCW) spread, pivoting near 10:00, shows on LIBERTY, the upper hair details, IN GOD WE TRUST (IGWT) and the date, and IN shows some tripling. On the obverse, the earlobe has a short gouge, and concentric scratches mark the rim under the date and TRUST. Wexler notes no reverse markers. No submitter is noted. CONECA lists it as 9-O-V.
