Description
1971-S WDDR-002 is a doubled die reverse on the 1971-S proof Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. A moderate Class V clockwise (CW) spread, pivoting near 12:00, shows on AMERICA, HALF DOLLAR, the stars, the arrows, the olive branch and the designer's initials (JF). On the obverse, a gouge lies right of the I in LIBERTY. On the reverse, a short scratch sits right of the first T in STATES, near its top. No submitter is noted. CONECA lists it as 9-R-V.
