Description
1971-S WSDO-001 is a series doubling obverse listing on the 1971-S proof Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. IN GOD WE TRUST (IGWT) and LIBERTY show a light counterclockwise (CCW) spread pivoting near 11:00. The die markers on both sides vary among the working dies affected, Wexler notes. John A. Wexler submitted it. CONECA's listing is SD-1-O-II+V. Wexler adds that this doubling entered use partway through 1971, remained in use throughout 1972, and appears on coins of all three mints.
