Description
1970 WDDR-003 is a doubled die reverse on the 1970 Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling is a Class V clockwise (CW) spread from a pivot near 6:00, seen on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the torch flame and, more slightly, on ONE DIME. Wexler notes no obverse markers. The reverse has a short die gouge reaching ENE off the top of the second T of STATES, and many north-south scratches lie right of the torch flame and pass through OF. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
