The 1970-D Doubled Die Reverse DDR-003 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1970 (D) Kennedy Half Dollar, part of the Kennedy Half Dollars Silver Clad 1965-1970 series. Die markers: UVC-156 DMR-005 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: Reverse is MDS Die gouge at upper neckline – MDS Stage C: Strong die clash on Reverse and Obverse – LMDS. Can be found in Mint Sets. Reverse is RDV-002 (Flared G).
