Description

Class I, Rotated Hub Doubling "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA very strong CCW spread shows on LIBERTY, the star, the date, IN GOD WE TRUST and the designer’s initials. The spread is slightly weaker than that on 1968-S Pr WDDO-003 with the spread narrowing more toward the tops of the letters. Cross-referenced as CONECA 10-O-I-CCW. Die markers: Obverse: Short vertical die gouge below bust and WNW of designer’s initials; short, strong, vertical die gouge near rim and to right of second T of TRUST. Reverse: Short horizontal die gouge between tops of two left windows and roof. Cross-referenced as CONECA 10-O-I-CCW.
