Class I, Rotated Hub Doubling          "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA very strong CCW spread shows on LIBERTY, the star, the date, IN GOD WE TRUST and the designer’s initials.  Because of the size of the designer’s initials, differences among the varieties are often easiest to detect here.

Die Markers

• Obverse: Die scratch running WSW from lower left of 1 of date.  On later die states it is weak but still visible.
• Reverse: Short, slanted die scratch above short left window.
