Description

A proof doubled die reverse from the inaugural year of the Kennedy Half Dollar, this VarietyVista-documented DDR-007 features light triple spread on IN GOD and tracks across multiple die design variants. Die markers span two pairings: UVC-036 / DMR-036 for Stage A with reverse and obverse at EMDS; then UVC-450 / DMR-056 for Stage B with reverse at MDS, obverse die changed to EDS, and light triple spread on IN GOD; Stage C at LDS (unconfirmed). Stage A pairs ODV-001 (Accented Hair) with RDV-001 (Straight G), while Stages B and C pair ODV-002 with RDV-001 (Straight G). The Accented Hair variety, where extra detail appears in Jackie Kennedy's hair styling modifications, is one of the most collected 1964 proof Kennedy varieties. Struck in 90% silver and 10% copper at 12.50 grams and 30.61 mm at the Philadelphia Mint.
