Description

A CCW spread from a pivot at about 3:00 shows on UNITED STATES, ONE, and E PLU.Die Markers: Obverse: Blunt tail 9. The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1964 10¢ Pr WDDO-005. A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 7:00 shows solely on the hair details. Many die scratch on the left obverse rim. Two especially strong die scratches on the rim below the I in IN. Two small die gouges below the chin. Reverse: Die gouge on the rim below the right side of the O in ONE. Die gouge near the rime above the left side of the F in OF. Die gouge left of the D in DIME.Submitted By: John A. Concentric die scratch near the rim above the LI in LIBERTY. WNW/ESE die scratch above head. Crisscrossing die scratches between the B and E in LIBERTY. Reverse: Light feeder finger damage through the TES in STATES. Light N/S die scratches throughout left reverse. Die gouge between the N and U in UNUM. Long, thin die gouge in the C in AMERICA. Long, thin die gouge above the M in AMERICA.
