1964 Roosevelt Dime - Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-030

Description

1964 WDDR-030 is a doubled die reverse on the 1964 Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center appears on ONE DIME, NUM of UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, strongest on the right half of the reverse. The obverse has a Blunt Tail 9 and N/S scratches all over, with a short NW/SE scratch ahead of the eye and a NW/SE scratch inside the ear. On the reverse, feeder finger damage runs through TES in STATES and OF's O, and many N/S scratches cross the lower left of the reverse. A large gouge lies over the right dot, another between STATES's S and T, and another right of AMERICA's E. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references. Wexler's comments note that it closely resembles WDDR-004 and suggest comparing the doubling and die markers.
