Description

A very close CW spread from a pivot at 11:00 shows on AMERICA, DIME and NUM of UNUM. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: NW/SE die scratch centered between WE and TRUST. NW die scratch above the O of GOD. Long NNW die scratch from the upper center of the W in WE running between IN and GOD. Strong die scratch north from the brow and forehead. Obverse Stage B: Weaker stage A markers. Reverse Stage A: Short curving die scratch on the right upper area of the O of ONE. Reverse Stage B: Die crack from the rim running between the TE of UNITED to the left upper olive leaves. Die scratch SE from the left lower olive leaf through the P of PLURIBUS and curving to the torch holder. Three die scratches above the L of PLURIBUS that form an X and V. Die scratch south from the underside of the upper extremity of the last S in STATES. Series of NNE/SSW die scratches on the left side of the oak branch.
