1964 (D) Roosevelt Dime - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-010

Description

1964-D WRPM-010 is a repunched mint mark on the 1964-D Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. Wexler describes it as D/D/D Tilted (Rotated). The obverse has a Blunt 9. Short NW/SE scratches leave the neck's back, thin E/W scratches run from the nose to BE in LIBERTY, and many strong NW/SE scratches cross IN GOD WE TRUST. The reverse has many thin N/S scratches across the fields. A long scratch extends N from ONE's E, and two short scratches link the lower acorn with UNUM's first U. A thin, broken scratch runs parallel to the bottoms of R and I in AMERICA. X-shaped scratches join TA in STATES with the leftmost leaf of the upper olive leaves, a strong scratch extends straight S from STATES's first S, and a strong scratch extends NW from PLURIBUS's P. David Goff submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references and notes this is a replacement listing, since the original files were missing from the Bordner files.
