Description
1962 WDDO-004 is a doubled die obverse on the 1962 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. An extremely close spread toward the center appears on the date and IN GOD WE TRUST. On the obverse, a short gouge extends NW off the first T in TRUST from its upper left, another runs NW off the B in LIBERTY from its center left, and short gouges run NW off the T and the Y in LIBERTY from their lower left. On the reverse, a crack descends the eagle's right wing. Ralph Huntzinger submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
