A spread toward the center on UNITED STATES, ONE DIME, E PLU (E PLURIBUS UNUM), the olive leaves, and the flames on the torch gives the 1961 Proof Roosevelt Dime WDDR-010 one of the more comprehensive multi-element doubling signatures among proof dime varieties. Attributed by the Wexler Team with variety ID 1961 10¢ Pr WDDR-010, the reverse carries a diagnostic die gouge to the right of the upper T in UNITED, while no significant obverse markers have been noted. The doubling affecting both the lettering and the torch flames — the symbolic elements of John R. Sinnock's reverse representing liberty and freedom — provides multiple identification points across different areas of the die. The 1961 Proof Roosevelt Dime was struck in 90% silver at the Philadelphia Mint, and the variety number (010) indicates substantial documentation of this date's proof doubled die reverses by the Wexler Team.
