1961 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-005

Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS.  Closer spread shows on MO of MONTICELLO and both sides of the building.  All spreads decrease slightly from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Short vertical die gouge within upper right portion of W of WE. Reverse: Slanted die gouge above lower bar of second L of MONTICELLO; two die scratches from upper right vertical bar of N of CENTS form a V.
