The 1960 Proof Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-021 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1960 Lincoln Memorial Cent - Proof Small Date, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. Die markers: Obverse: Small Date. Die scratches run from SSW to NNE above the I and B in LIBERTY. Die scratches run from west to east on the lower shoulder. Reverse: Numerous nearly horizontal die scratches can be found in the 9th Memorial bay.
