Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and very slightly on FIVE CENTS. All spreads increase slightly from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Short strong horizontal die scratch between upper back of collar and queue; short vertical die gouge between upper portions of E and R of LIBERTY. Reverse: Series of die gouges from right side of M of MONTICELLO; series of die gouges between last L and O of MONTICELLO; slanted die scratch between right base of building and D mint mark; die gouge (dot) above roof at right side of building.
