Description
Fifth doubled die reverse for the 1960 Denver Jefferson Nickel, DDR-005 shows medium spread and extra thickness on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and the right building edge of Monticello, increasing left to right. This progressive pattern is characteristic of a hub that shifted in a consistent direction during impression. Cataloged by VarietyVista with codes UVC-1033 and DMR-007, Stages A and B at early and mid-die state are unconfirmed. Stage C shows both reverse and obverse at late die state, confirming the pair was used through its full serviceable life. The right building edge concentration places the strongest doubling on architectural lines where even slight displacement is detectable. The left-to-right increase means collectors examining the right side of the building and rightmost legend letters will find the best evidence.
