Description

Recorded by VarietyVista, this San Francisco Mint Lincoln Wheat Cent tracks four die stages across two reverse die pairings with notable die scratches and cracking across the obverse portrait area. Die markers: UVC-495 / DMR-020 for Stages A-C and UVC-1184 / DMR-036 for Stage D. Stage A at EDS (unconfirmed); Stage B with a light die scratch northwest from B of LIBERTY at MDS, a light die scratch from chin to 5 of date, a light die crack in hair, and a heavy die scratch east-west through NU of UNUM at MDS; Stage C with obverse at LMDS, a die crack upper left wheat lines to rim at LMDS, and a die crack lower right wheat grains to rim; Stage D with obverse at LDS and reverse die changed at MDS.
