Description

RPM-013 on the 1952-S Lincoln Wheat Cent is a repunched mintmark variety catalogued by VarietyVista under die pair UVC-446, DMR-015. The die state documentation, while limited to two confirmed stages, is notable for the specificity of the Stage B markers: the obverse at Stage B is Early Middle Die State and carries numerous die scratches running north-to-south across the obverse field — a distinctive die surface characteristic that aids attribution — while the reverse at Stage B is at a Late Middle Die State, placing the two sides at different positions in their respective die-state progressions. Stage A is Early Die State for both sides, currently unconfirmed. The 1952-S Lincoln Wheat Cent was struck in bronze at the San Francisco Mint.
