1952 (S) Jefferson Nickel - Repunched Mintmark WRPM-011

Description

1952-S WRPM-011 is a repunched mint mark on the 1952-S Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary S lies west of the primary S (S/S West). On the obverse, a strong die scratch links the date's 5 and 2 near their tops; north-south scratches lie under the chin; and scratches head SW off TRUST's first T, from its bottom. On the reverse, many north-south scratches lie above and below Monticello, and a small gouge sits in the space from Monticello's bottom down to AMERICA's second A. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
