1952-D Repunched Mintmark RPM-024

Description

Displaying a D/D Rotated CW displacement and documenting a reverse die change mid-production, this VarietyVista-recorded 1952-D Lincoln Wheat Cent demonstrates how a single RPM obverse could outlast multiple reverse die pairings. Die markers span two pairings: UVC-1149 / DMR-028 for Stage A at EDS (unconfirmed) and Stage B with light die gouges in front of lips at MDS and a die break on the lower stem of the T of CENT at LDS; then UVC-2510 / DMR-031 for Stage C with obverse at LMDS and a freshly changed reverse at EDS, followed by Stage D at LDS (unconfirmed). The reverse condition jumping from LDS back to EDS proves the reverse was replaced. Composed of 95% copper and 5% tin-zinc at 3.11 grams and 19.05 mm, struck at the Denver Mint during the Korean War era.
