Description

Catalogued by VarietyVista with markers UVC-371 and DMR-018, the 1951-D Lincoln Wheat cent RPM-015 is a confirmed repunched D mintmark accompanied by noteworthy reverse characteristics across the documented die stages. Stage A is Early Die State (unconfirmed). Stage B is Middle Die State and carries two significant concurrent markers: a light die crack develops over Victor David Brenner's initials (V.D.B.) on the obverse, while the reverse simultaneously displays a minor Class VI doubled die. Stage C is Late Die State (unconfirmed). The Stage B combination of an obverse crack over V.D.B. and a reverse minor doubled die makes this die marriage more layered than a typical RPM entry — collectors attributing RPM-015 Stage B examples hold a coin with three simultaneous die characteristics in a single marriage.
