Description
Obverse: Die Markers: Obverse: The mint mark is close to the tail of the 9 in the date. Strong N-S die scratches show below the front hair curl. Many parallel N-S die scratches show through and below the date area. A grouping of N-S die scratches shows below the ear. A tight cluster of N-S die scratches show in the field immediately behind the neck NE of the Y in LIBERTY. A group of two die gouges show on the upper left side of the collar. A strong die gouge runs West from the central left side of the T in TRUST. Several short NW-SE die scratches show below the TR in TRUST. Short N-S die scratches show behind the eye and inside the temple area. Reverse: A long die scratch runs North from just above the right wheat stem through the C in AMERICA, the A & T in STATES, the left side of the horizontal crossbar of the T in CENT and ends inside the central E in ONE. A long die scratch runs North from the upper right side of the U in UNITED almost to the upper left wheat tip. Numerous strong N-S die scratches run through and SE of the last A in AMERICA.
