Description

The 1950-S Repunched Mintmark RPM-004 bears a repunched mintmark created when the engraver struck the mintmark punch into the die face at least twice, with the second impression slightly offset from the first. This Lincoln cent was struck at the San Francisco Mint, weighing 3.11 grams with a diameter of 19.05 mm. Die markers: UVC-344 DMR-005 Stage A: Strong secondary upper serif tip – EMDS Heavy die scratches North in front of date Numerous die scratches North-South on Reverse – EMDS Stage B: Obverse and Reverse are MDS Stage C: Weak secondary upper serif tip – LDS Light die crack in the hair Reverse is LDS Stage D: Very weak secondary upper serif tip – VLDS Weak Obverse die scratches Longer and stronger die crack in the hair Reverse is VLDS.
