1950 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001

Description

A spread toward the center shows on LIBERTY, IGWT, the date, the designer's initials, the bust, the eyelid, the back of the hair and the lower hair curls. A second hubbing shows tripling on TRUST, the 5 of the date and RTY of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Light die gouge between the W and E of WE toward the top. Reverse: Die gouge below the underside of the horizontal bar of the F in HALF toward the left. N/S die gouge near the rim below the right side of the F in HALF. Large die chip inside the A of HALF on the left lower side. Die chip on the underside of the horizontal bar and centered of the A in HALF.
