Description

S/S Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse: A series of vertical die scratches run north from the upper 1 in the date. A die clash shows right of Lincoln’s throat. Vertical die scratches run north above the RTY in LIBERTY. Short die scratches run from Lincoln’s upper hair southeast of the D in GOD. A series of diagonal die scratches show above Lincoln’s central collar. Light hashmarked die scratches show on Lincoln’s central shoulder fold. Reverse: Vertical die scratches run between L and U in PLURIBUS and the O in ONE. About vertical die scratches show above NE in ONE. About vertical die scratches show behind the C in CENT. A series of diagonal die scratches run through the N in UNITED. A strong die scratch runs through the opening of the O in OF. Diagonal die scratches run through the R and C in AMERICA.
