Description

D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is also a doubled die which is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1948-D 1¢ WDDO-005. A CW spread shows on the second T in TRUST, the 48 in the date, and the bottom of the L in LIBERTY. Reverse: A die crack runs along the left side of the right wheat stalk to the left of the top three wheat grains.
