1946 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-009

Description

A Class V CCW spread from a pivot at about 5:00 shows on the RTY of LIBERTY and the hair details at the top front of the head Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. NNE/SSW die scratch connecting the fork and the vertical bar on the right side of the Y in LIBERTY. NE/SW die scratch through the right leg of the R of LIBERTY. Reverse: NW/SE die scratch through the left leg of the first A in AMERICA. Short, heavy WSW/ENE die gouge between the E of EPU and the U of UNITED.
