Description
1946-D WRPM-005 is a repunched mint mark on the 1946-D Jefferson nickel, cataloged by the Wexler team. A secondary D lies north of the primary D (D/D North). On the obverse, an east-west die scratch lies inside the B's lower cavity in LIBERTY, close to the cavity's top. On the reverse, in AMERICA, both the C and the final A have NE/SW scratches inside them. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as RPM #5. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
