Description
A spread towards the center shows on QUARTER DOLLAR and the branches.Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die files as 1945 25¢ WDDO-009. A CCW spread from a pivot at about 2:00 shows on IGWT, the date, and the bottom of the ribbon. A small die gouge can be found to the right of the D in GOD. Many die scratches left of the L in LIBERTY. Die scratch extends SE from the B in LIBERTY. Parallel die scratches run west from the lower T in LIBERTY. Reverse: A spread towards the center shows on QUARTER DOLLAR and the branches. A die crack runs down the eagle’s right wing. A die crack runs from the S in PLURIBUS to the upper left wing. E/W die crack across the branches at the knot. Circular die scratches run throughout the eagle.Submitted By: John A. A small die gouge can be found just to the right of the lower Y in LIBERTY. A small die gouge can be found SW of the bottom of the ribbon. Reverse: A small die gouge touches the lower left side of the I in UNITED. A short die scratch runs northeast from the center of the right side of the vertical bar of the D in UNITED.
