Description

Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Vertical die scratch below the T in LIBERTY. Circular die scratch pattern on bust centered in the neck area. Die crack starting at the base of the bust near the bottom of the lapel running WNW passing well over the designer’s initials and out onto the field. Obverse Stage B: Die crack is stronger. Reverse Stage A: Feeder finger die scrapes run from north to south through the lower E in ONE. Die crack on the right wheat stalk’s upper wheat lines running south on the right wheat kernels then turning east at the third from last kernel towards and ending at the rim. Reverse Stage B: Crack on right wheat stalk is stronger with a second smaller crack on the left side wheat kernels at about the center of the stalk. A light crack on the left wheat stalk at the top left wheat kernels running south. Obverse Stage A:
