Description

Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Long, almost vertical die scratch from the top of the R of LIBERTY. Light die crack over the designer’s initials running to the lapel. Obverse Stage B: Die crack is stronger. Reverse Stage A: Die gouge SSW from the rim between the LU of PLURIBUS. Die gouge (dot) above the N of ONE. Die gouge (dot) to the lower right of the E of ONE. Reverse Stage B: Die gouge at PLURIBUS is weak. Die crack north from the rim at 8:00 running through the wheat grains of the left wheat ear. Light die crack north from the lower area of the right wheat grains of the right wheat ear.
