Description

S/S/S Southwest & West Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a strong doubled die variety that is listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1942-S 1¢ WDDO-001. A die scratch extends SE from the lower right 1st T of TRUST. A long die scratch extends north from the top of the R in LIBERTY. Reverse: Two long, parallel die scratches run north to south to the left of the T in CENT. Two short die scratches run north from the top left T of CENT. A short, strong die scratch runs from SSE to NNW to the left of the upper C in CENT. Obverse:
