Description
1942 WDDO-006 is a doubled die obverse on the 1942 Washington quarter, cataloged by the Wexler team. The spread is to the WNW, on IN GOD WE TRUST and the queue. On the obverse, a scratch heads north off the R in TRUST, from its bottom right, and a scratch heads NNW off the top of the O in GOD. On the reverse, a scratch heads NW from the eagle's beak, and another leaves the top of the eagle's head heading NW and crosses the first U in UNUM at its lower left. Ralph Huntzinger submitted the variety. CONECA lists it as 1-O-II. Wexler includes it in its "Best Of" varieties.
