Description
1942-D WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 1942-D Mercury dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. The doubling, a Class II spread toward the center, is on the date. On the obverse, a die crack starts at the rim beside (left of) the T in LIBERTY and reaches the feathers. The reverse is in a late die state (LDS), and Wexler notes no markers on it. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
