Description

Cataloged as DDO-013 with VarietyVista identifiers UVC-0503 and DMR-024, this 1941 Denver Mint Washington Quarter shows light spread on IN and TRU of IN GOD WE TRUST. Three die stages are documented: Stage A is an early die state unconfirmed by specimen; Stage B at mid-die state shows a die crack across the forehead and hair, another crack across the bust southwest through the upper first 1 of the date, a die crack down the eagle's right wing, and a crack from US of PLURIBUS to the wing under AME of AMERICA; Stage C is a late die state also unconfirmed.
