Description

S/S Northeast Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratch SW from left center of the 9 in the date. Circular lathe mark on most of the obverse. Die scratch NNE from the upper left of the Y in LIBERTY. Reverse: Die crack from the rim at 12:15 running SSE through the lower left of the S in PLURIBUS and through the upper left of the E in ONE. E/W die crack through the UM of UNUM. Die crack from the rim at 4:00 running NW to the wheat ear. Die crack along the right wheat grain of the right wheat ear. Die from the rim at 8:00 running NE into the left side wheat grain of the left wheat ear then turning upward and running through the wheat grains and the wheat lines.
