Description

An extremely close spread towards the rim shows on the E in WE and on the 4 and 0 of the date. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge (dot) shows below the 4 in date. A series of light diagonal die scratches run into the field below Lincoln’s chin. A curved die scratch runs from Lincoln’s upper hair, below and between the OD in GOD. A concentric die scratch shows at the rim right of last T in TRUST. A light die crack is present above and right of the VDB. Reverse: A die gouge (dot) shows to the left of E in E PLURIBUS. A die gouge (dot) shows to the right of the U in UNUM. A die gouge (dot) shows inside the opening of the C in CENT. A die gouge shows on the lower curve of the C in CENT. Submitted By: John A.
