Light separation shows on the 4 and 0 in the date and on the E in WE. Die Markers: Obverse: A series of diagonal die scratches run from Lincoln’s lower chin into the 1 in the date. A series of diagonal die scratches run SE from Lincoln’s eye, eyebrow and lower nose. Light, diagonal die scratches run through the letters ERTY in LIBERTY. A long, concentric die scratch runs close to the rim from the lower L in LIBERTY to below the VDB initials. Diagonal die scratches run between the D in GOD and the W in WE. A wavering die scratch connects the lower N in IN with the lower G in GOD. A series of horizontal die scratches run through GOD.
