The 1937-S Doubled Die Obverse DDO-004 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1937 (S) Lincoln Wheat Cent, part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. Die markers: UVC-1398 DMR-008 Stage A: EDS (unconfirmed) Stage B: MDS (unconfirmed) Stage C: Small dot at field/head straight South of O of GOD – LDS Die chip in lower Right wheat grains – MDS. The mintmark is slightly higher and further West than DDO-001.
